MOTHER. SPEAKER. WRITER. PRAYER WARRIOR.

“Empty me of me, Lord, and fill me with you” were words I heard over a friend’s shoulder.  I didn’t know what these words meant, but I liked the way they settled in my heart. I needed someone bigger than me to hold onto. It wasn’t long before I realized that Someone was Jesus.

When Jesus picked me up and called me His own, I began to overflow with a love that was hard to understand. A love that was wide, long, high and deep that filled the empty places of my heart. I have taught the Bible to children and women since I was a young mother.  A lifelong educator, I will teach anyone who’ll listen that Jesus Christ is who He says He is, He loves us, and His love can change our lives so we can change our world.

I was raised in Houston, TX, and attended the University of North Texas in Denton where I earned a B.S. in Education. My favorite job in the world was raising my three sons.  My second favorite is being a grandmother. I also loved being a secret agent for Jesus (not so secret) loving and teaching children for almost thirty years.  In my journey toward home I’ve experienced much joy mixed with strands of heartbreak. It was when I could do nothing but crawl into God’s everlasting arms – that I learned to pray, love His words, and to love Him more deeply.

Dana is a Bible teacher and has written many pages to encourage us that God’s love can fill us up so we can touch our world. She has written and taught women’s Bible studies for her home church, Denton Bible Church in Denton, TX. She has a passion for prayer for marriages, for parents and grandparents praying for the next generation, and for revival in our land that starts with one heart at a time. Dana began and facilitated a Military Prayer Ministry in her church and began an internet prayer ministry for mothers and grandmothers called the Yahweh Sisters.

Dana is married to Don Gailey, a school administrator, and along with Don, she has served the homeless community through Denton Bible’s Vision Ministries. Don and Dana have a blended family of seven children and a growing number of grandchildren. Dana is a full time helpmate to Don, mother, grandmother, mentor, lay counselor, writer, teacher, and speaker.

 

A PRAYER FOR THE EPHESIANS

DANA’S LIFE VERSE EPHESIANS 3:14-19 (NIV)

14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
